A few weeks ago (I guess like almost a month ago now) we headed up to Storm Lake with John's sister and her family to a waterpark/hotel. It was a Living Social deal that we bough back in February and wanted to use earlier but this was the weekend that ended up working out. We went from a Saturday to a Sunday and it was perfect!!! The indoor waterpark was wonderful and perfect for Elsie. There was a little kiddie area with zero-entry pool as well as a couple of waterslides that were exciting for me too :) Elsie LOVED playing with her two older cousins and we all had fun being together.
Lots of joy on this little girls face throughout the weekend!
We all had fun on the water slides and we all took turns riding with each other down the tube slide.
Elsie could have done the slides all day! Her favorite was the "blue" slide which was also the tube slide.
That's either John or Todd coming out the yellow slide-you definitely went fast!
After checking in and swimming for a while we decided to get ready for dinner. John has some family that lives in Storm Lake so went to eat a restaurant that they recommended. It was okay. While waiting to leave for dinner though we took a little stroll down by the lake right outside the hotel. It was a beautiful evening!
After dinner John and Todd stayed up with the girls while they went to sleep and Brandi and I headed down to the lobby, met up with Bev's cousins the their family for a short bit and then hit up the bar for some chit chat. It was really nice to just sit and visit with Brandi-this happens so rarely because there are always little girls running around keeping us busy :).
The next morning we went down for breakfast and then hit up the pool one more time before leaving.
The we headed back to the room, cleaned up and checked out. But before leaving Storm Lake we stopped at this fun playground and let the kids run around for a while. It was a really cool playground that had such a variety of equipment and many of the things were things I had never even seen before on a playground.
It was a really fun weekend spent with family!
